Spring Semester is Here!
Our Spring semester of MOPS begins on Friday, January 9! We will be meeting nine times this semester, and we've got lots of great speakers and fun crafts planned!
If you are thinking about attending but haven't come before, please join us! You are welcome to come to a meeting to give us a try free of charge, just let us know ahead of time at valleyspringsmops@gmail.com so we can plan for childcare for your kiddos. If you'd like to come to MOPS but can't commit for the whole semester, we also allow drop-ins for $5 per child (plus $5 if you come on a craft day to cover materials). More details about trying us out and what our meetings are like in general can be found on our FAQ page.
If you are planning to be with us the entire semester (and we hope you are!) please bring your $85 registration fee on January 9. If you would like a payment plan, please see Teresa Sachse at our first meeting.
One more thing...mark your calendars now for our Spring fundraiser at Boudin SF in the Fountains shopping center in Roseville! It will be held from 4-8pm on February 9. VSPC MOPS will receive 20% of all participating sales that evening! Flyers and more details to come.
We are looking forward to seeing all of you on January 9!

Important fall dates!
It was so great to see all of you last Friday for our first MOPS meeting of the new semester! We wanted to get a few important dates on your calendar before everyone gets busy with fall activities.
This semester's breakfast schedule is up on the website, check it out here!
Our Ladies' Tea Fundraiser is scheduled for Saturday, October 18 at 1pm. It is our main fundraiser of the year and we depend on everyone for their donations and volunteer time to make it a success! More info on that will come soon.
Our Moms' Night Out this semester will be a super fun Bunco night on November 14! If you've never played Bunco before, don't worry. It's really easy to catch on and it is a TON of fun to play! Aside from Bunco, we'll have fun sharing yummy treats and having girl time. Line up your babysitter now, ladies!
Remember, we have MOPS again this Friday...the only time this year we'll have two MOPS meetings in a row. If you haven't turned in your registration form and session fee yet, please remember to do so on Friday.
Thanks and we'll see everyone Friday at 9:15!
P.S. If you didn't make it last week but still want to join or check it out, it's not too late!! Please join us! Just email us at valleyspringsmops@gmail.com so we can plan childcare for your kiddos.

Top Ten Reasons to Join MOPS This Year!
If you are still thinking about whether you should join MOPS this year, here are ten great reasons! Our fall semester begins September 5, don't miss it! Register today!
Top Ten Reasons to Join MOPS
10. You'll get to finish a hot cup of coffee at least twice a month.
9. Mentor Moms: Perspective, wisdom, and advice on how to get your toddler to pee pee in the potty, already!
8. No worries about making pies for Thanksgiving. 'Nuff said.
7. Relevant guest speakers who will show us how to bravely embrace who we are, along with practical information on how we can take action tto accomplish that!
6. Get rid of some of your "Pinterest guilt" by making at least seven cute and useful crafts this year!
5. Enjoy a yummy hot breakfast at each meeting that you didn't have to make and that no one is
demanding bites of.
4. Who needs "Vegas, baby!" when you'll have a chance to win at every MOPS meeting in our raffle!
3. Great conversation that does not revolve around princesses, Cars, or what happens when you give a mouse a cookie.
2. Would you rather be doing the laundry?!
And the top reason for joining MOPS this year?
1. Community and friendship with other moms in the same stage of life who get it!

2014-2015 Theme: Be You, Bravely
We are so excited for the new year of MOPS to begin! The theme for this year is "Be you, Bravely." Here is some more information:
It seems we spend all of our time doing two things- living and waiting to live.
If you are like us, that "waiting to live" category is comprised of a few things that make us uncomfortable, things that require courage to act. For us, it means that we have dreams we want to see realized, conversations that we need to have, and decisions we have been avoiding.
Sometimes realizing how significant an action is makes it harder to accomplish. We become paralyzed from acting because starting feels risky. The urgency of day-to-day demands make them the easiest to deal with. But days, months and even years go by with the same opportunities standing in front of us, waiting to be chosen.
What we all seem to have in common is that we need a nudge--a nudge to get us out of our ruts and routines so that we can be reminded to risk bravely.
At MOPS, we believe that you were meant to live deeply and so we have created this year’s theme to inspire you to choose the extraordinary.
"Be you, Bravely" is designed to help us become more ourselves, and to remind us that courage is always worth it and that we are all in this together. Cheering each other on toward our futures is the gift of community at MOPS.
We are so excited to journey alongside you this year as we ask one another what it means to “Be you, Bravely.”
Theme Verse: Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland. Isaiah 43:18-19 (NIV)
