What is MOPS?  

MOPS is a non-profit, grassroots movement that believes moms are world influencers.  

We also believe that incubating hearts and giving just-because-hugs can change the course of history. That’s why we connect moms all over the world to a community of women, in their own neighborhoods, who meet together to laugh, cry and embrace the journey of motherhood. MOPS groups are rallying women to be more honest, to feel more equipped and to find our identity by journeying alongside one another.

MOPS stands for Mothers of Preschoolers, and by preschoolers we mean kiddos from the womb through kindergarten. We know it's a little confusing, so let's just stick with "MOPS."

We are moms, and we believe that better moms make a better world.

What should I expect at a MOPS meeting?

Welcoming to all Women

We've all been placed in this time and place in history as the tribe of women who are raising the world. The beauty of it is that we don’t all have to agree with one another, because we are in it together and we all need each other.  

Mentoring

Sometimes we need a wise woman who has been there and done that to bounce ideas off of. That’s why we love our Mentor moms, they have sage advice and willing ears.

Honest Conversation

We moms need each other.  At each meeting there will be time to get to know other moms in an accepting small group atmosphere.  We share a potluck breakfast at each meeting so moms can enjoy a meal in peace, a hot cup of coffee, and adult conversation--three things many of us lack all too often! 

Relevant Teaching and Practical Help

Need some inspiration? Our meetings include speakers or videos that gives practical tools and insight into the specific things that are important to you at this stage of your life.  Our speakers know we've only had three hours of uninterrupted sleep last night so they better keep it interesting!

Creative Activities

Create, imagine, and actually finish a project. We occasionally like to have something "pinteresty" to make at our meetings. We all need a little time to indulge in a creative endeavor--and doesn't it feel good to actually get something done?

Childcare

Look, we all love our kids, but let’s be honest: a little break now and then makes us want to be with them even more. We provide a preschool-style experience for your kiddos that they will love going back to.


How much does it cost?

Currently, our session fee is only $85 per semester.  This covers supplies, group registration fees, and childcare.  If you can't afford the fee, scholarships are available to help cover the cost.  Please contact us at valleyspringsmops@gmail.com for more information.  

How do I know MOPS is for me?

Give it a try!  You are welcome to come to a meeting with no charge to try it out, please just let us know in advance so we can plan for your children.  (Just drop us an email at valleyspringsmops@gmail.com)  If you can't commit to a whole semester, you can attend on a drop-in basis for $5 per child (plus $5 for materials if you happen to come on a craft day).
