MOPPETS

Hi MOPS Mamas! I wanted to let you know that starting at our next meeting, child care workers will all be wearing aprons that say MOPPETS. We hope this will help alleviate any confusion as to who is working in each of the rooms and make the workers more visible/approachable. Thanks again for your patience as we work through a few bumps in the road at the beginning of the year. We want you to feel 100% comfortable leaving your children in the care of the MOPPETS workers while you relax with the other MOPS moms.

MOPS 2nd Annual Garage Sale

In an effort to help fund scholarships and offset MOPS costs, we will be having a garage sale fundraiser on October 6th. The garage sale will take place at Sara Hyun's home in the Roseville area. In order for the garage sale to be a success, we need donations of household goods, furniture, clothes, toys, etc. The more we get, the more we can sell. All of the profits will go directly towards Valley Springs MOPS. Please start setting aside items for the garage sale. All donations will be accepted starting the week of Oct. 1st. Items can be brought to Valley Springs or directly to Sara's home. There will be more information at our next MOPS meeting. We will also need volunteers to work both Friday evening to help set up and Saturday at the actual garage sale. We had a great turn out last year and a lot of fun working together. This is a great way to get to know MOPS moms outside of our regular meetings. Please spread the word and help us make this fundraiser a success!

Summer Play Dates!

Summer park play dates have been announced. We hope you'll use these play dates as a way to stay connected with us. Play dates will be on Tuesday mornings at various parks in our region. Check the calendar for exact times and locations. Our first play date will be Tuesday, May 22nd at Maidu in Roseville from 10-11am.

End of the Year Tea

Our last meeting for the semester will be May 11th. Please join us as we celebrate the close of another MOPS year. We'll be having a catered tea, thanking those that have made this year possible and enjoying time with the ladies at our tables. Even if you haven't been to MOPS in a while, we'd love to see you again before the summer break.

Join us for Feed My Starving Children

Feed My Starving Children is a non-profit Christian organization committed to feeding God’s children hungry in body and spirit. The approach is simple: children and adults hand-pack meals specifically formulated for malnourished children, and we ship the meals to nearly 70 countries around the world.

Join our MOPS group, on November 19th from 8-10am, as we spend two hours packing food for children around the world. You must pre-register in order to attend. Please go to volunteer.fmsc.org and use the join code of 178035 to find our group. Older children (2nd grade and up) may join us as well but need to be registered just as you would register yourself.

MOPS Garage Sale

Are you cleaning out closets to make room for fall and winter clothes? Do you have toys that need a new home to prepare for new ones that will find their way into your house this Christmas? Maybe you have furniture or other larger items that you've been meaning to get rid of but you've just never found the time. Well now is the time! Every item you donate will help us raise money to support our MOPS group.
